Elaine Parker Williamson, 75, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, July 7, 2025.
Elaine was born in April 1950, in Atlanta, GA, to John Robert Parker and Martha Elizabeth Avery Parker. She married the love of her life, Donald C. Williamson, in June 1970.
She graduated from Walter F. George High School in Atlanta and went on to attend Georgia Southern University, where she was a proud member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Elaine worked for Delta Air Lines during her early married years and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She then raised her two children while living in Snellville, GA, where she worked as a preschool teacher at Smoke Rise Baptist Church and later served as a bookkeeper at Snellville Middle School.
A devoted and deeply involved mother, Elaine gave generously of her time as an active volunteer in her children’s many activities. She was also a faithful and active member of the Methodist Church, known by all for her love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God.
Elaine found great joy in volunteering at the children’s hospital, where she brought smiles to young patients by leading art projects for children being treated for cancer. Throughout her long and difficult battle with cancer, she showed amazing grace, bravery, and strength.
She loved reading, spending time with friends and family—especially her grandchildren—and expressing her creativity through painting, cross-stitching, and gardening. Elaine was a gentle, peaceful, and kind-hearted soul who loved her family deeply and unconditionally.
She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
Elaine is survived by her husband, Donald C. Williamson; daughter, Leah
