Deputy Keith Parsons has built more than an impressive career spanning 35 years; he’s built a legacy through his relationship with our youth that will undoubtedly span more than a lifetime.
Parsons served as a member of the United States Air Force before coming to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office to serve as a Patrol Deputy, Patrol Sergeant, School Resource Deputy, as well as participating in specialized units, including the Dive Team and Beach Patrol for special operations.
Within the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Parsons has made substantial contributions by participating in committees that focused on advancing new technologies and integrating patrol software, significantly enhancing operational efficiency.
He also served as the agency’s State Crash Report Coordinator for several years, improving reporting standards and administrative processes.
A defining moment in Deputy Parsons’ career occurred on April 25, 2009, when he earned the esteemed Medal of Valor, honoring his heroism and steadfast dedication to safeguarding lives and ensuring justice.
Most recently, Deputy Parsons served as a School Resource Deputy, where he played a vital role in connecting with students and creating long-lasting relationships through positive engagement and interaction.
