Vaulting the way to victory! Please join us in congratulating our Firefighter/EMT David Shepherd on his first place finish in Pole Vault at the World Police and Fire Games.
Shepherd competed over the holiday weekend at the event and set a new competition record for his age group with a vault of 4.62 meters (15.16 feet).
The World Police and Fire Games are an Olympic-style competition featuring thousands of athletes, who are also first responders in various countries around the world.
On this stage, Shepherd represented not just SWFD, but also South Walton Professional Fire Fighters Association Local-3516 and the USA. We are so incredibly proud, congrats to this guy!
