Mr. Roy Ezra Rogers, Sr. age 78, passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 with his loving family by his side. He was born April 25, 1947 in Okaloosa County, Florida to James Thadeus Rogers and Laura Weekly Rogers.
Mr. Rogers was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Christian by faith and a member of Messengers House of Worship. He was a devoted husband, father and Pawpaw and great Pawpaw. He worked in the seafood industry with Spence Brothers Seafood, Niceville’s Fisherman’s CO- OP. He was an avid fisherman and dearly loved his family.
Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by parents, his wife, Elizabeth Viola Rogers of 33 years, and brother, Junior Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his sons, James M. Rogers and husband TJ, Roy Rogers (Bubba) and wife Jennifer; grandchildren; Ryan Rogers, William Hurley, Kalie Owens and Jessica Owens, great grandchildren; Kayden Watson, Maddie Watson, Hazel Ortwein and Lucy Ortwein; brothers; David Rogers and Larry Rogers and wife Debbie and sisters; Pearl Lorenz and Sharon Rogers.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, August 4, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; with Reverend Doyle Alford officiating and Eulogy by son James Rogers.
Flowers are being accepted.
Burial will be held at Cluster Springs Cemetery, with Military Honors by United States Army.
