Okchin Litterio, a family-oriented and profoundly devout Christian, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of unparalleled kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She was born in Seoul, South Korea, to her mother Chumbae Kim and father Jungsul Baek. She immigrated to Rhode Island at the age of 21 with remarkable courage and determination, building a life marked by hard work, faith, and enduring commitment to her family and community.
A devoted wife, Okchin cherished her husband deeply, honoring their partnership. Her love for her children was boundless—she nurtured them with patience, wisdom, and a lighthearted spirit that made their home a place of comfort and belonging. Family was at the heart of everything she did, and she embraced every role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and matriarch. Her move to Florida later in life to care for her son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter was a testament to her selflessness; she helped raise all of her grandchildren, pouring her love into each of their lives.
Okchin’s professional accomplishments were equally remarkable. She was Vice President and Partner of OLIT Inc, a jewelry design and manufacturing company in Rhode Island. As former President of the Rhode Island Korean Association, she was a dedicated public servant who fostered cultural pride, unity, and service. She faithfully served as a deacon of the Korean Full Gospel Hope Church, where her devotion, compassion, and steadfast faith touched many lives. She, held a deep and true appreciation for American War Veterans who served in the Korean War, honoring their sacrifices with heartfelt respect.
Her faith guided her daily life. Okchin embodied humility, compassion, and spiritual devotion. She was also known as an exquisite cook, celebrated for her unmatched hospitality and international cuisine. Her home was always open, and her table was always full of meals seasoned not just with her culinary talent but with her warmth and generosity.
Okchin will be remembered for her grace, strength, faith, and the deep love she had for her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched and the family she cherished above all else.
She is survived by her devoted husband Richard; her children Grace, Angela, Destin and daughter in law Lina; her cherished grandchildren Ezra, Acelino, Ivana and Scarlett.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Korean Full Gospel Hope Church; 160 Chicago Ave, Valparaiso, FL 32580 with Pastor Groves officiating.

Burial will be held at Historic Gulf Cemetery; 1466 County Road 393 South, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459.
