After more than a decade of serving Walton County as a Firefighter/EMT and a lifetime dedicated to public safety, Bill Blevins has retired, leaving a legacy of courage, leadership, and heart.
Bill’s career began in 2004 as a deputy sheriff with Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Florida, where he served with distinction in roles from patrol deputy to firearms instructor and school resource deputy. In 2012, he returned to service in a new role as a Firefighter/EMT with Walton County Fire Rescue, bringing the same professionalism and dedication to every call and every training session.
A lifelong learner, Bill earned certifications ranging from Pump and Ladder Operations to Fire Instructor III and Fire Officer I, constantly raising the bar for himself and his team. His service extended beyond our community; he proudly served 16 years in the military, completing two combat tours with the U.S. Special Operations Command.
Bill’s career is a testament to selfless service and unwavering commitment. Please join us in congratulating Bill on his well-earned retirement.
