Debby Elizabeth Adkinson, 69, of Seminole, Florida, passed away on June 26, 2025. She was born on February 15, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Dean, and son-in-law, Justin Dean; her granddaughters, Avery and Peyton Dean; her sister, Tricia Finney, and brother-in-law, Jay Finney; brother-in-law, Mike Adkinson, and sister-in-laws, Patsy Adkinson and Kay Adkinson Slay; as well as several nieces and nephews who adored her.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Adkinson, and her parents, Doris O’Rouke and Oveal Baughman.

A dedicated nurse, Debby spent her career caring for others across a variety of specialties.

Above all, Debby loved her family deeply, especially her two granddaughters, Avery and Peyton, who knew her lovingly as Nana. She found endless joy in being their Nana, loved being in the kitchen with them and spending many movie nights with them.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, July 18, 2025 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Burial will be held at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

In honor of Debby’s love for butterflies and her proud support of the University of Florida, donations may be made to the CBS Butterfly Rainforest Endowment, https://www.uff.ufl.edu/giving-opportunities/023729-cbs-butterfly-endowment/, which supports the UF Butterfly Rainforest exhibit she dearly loved. Flowers may be sent as well, anything blue and yellow, as those were her favorite colors.

Debby will be remembered always for the care she gave, the lives she touched, and the deep love she poured into her family.
