Late on the night of July 4th, an ATV driver attempted to illegally pass another vehicle on the roadway. During the attempt, the ATV— without headlights—collided with the vehicle it was trying to pass and then struck a parked vehicle. A pregnant passenger riding on the ATV was ejected during the crash and transported to the hospital.
The driver, 24-year-old Corey Browan Jr., was arrested for DUI with Serious Bodily Injury and Driving While License Suspended – Habitual Offender. His bond was set at $30,000.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the passenger and her family.
Why are we posting this—we’re posting it to wake people up! The holiday weekend is still in full swing, and we’re asking everyone to make smart choices. Driving impaired—whether it’s from alcohol, drugs, or anything that affects your ability to drive—is dangerous and illegal. Don’t risk your life or someone else’s. One moment of poor judgment can have lifelong consequences.
