The initial College Football Playoff rankings were released on Tuesday night. An initial bracket for the playoffs is above. The rankings are below. The first team out in the initial rankings is #11 Texas.
Three area college football teams are ranked in the Top 25. Those include Alabama, Georgia, and Miami. Of those three, Alabama and Georgia would be in the College Football playoff if it were decided today. Alabama would receive a first-round bye, while Georgia would host a first-round playoff game against the Memphis Tigers. Of course, there’s still a lot of action left before the final rankings are released December 7th!
