George Henry Stanley, age 90, passed away quietly Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was born September 3, 1934. He spent most of childhood in Cullomberg, Alabama. George served twenty years in the United States Air Force. He was a part of the Health Service Administrator Staff. He later retired to DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
His wife, Beth Stanley and son Patrick Stanley stay faithfully at his bedside. Keeping true to his loving heart, Patrick kissed him and said, “Goodbye Dad, I Love You”.
George is survived by his loving wife of forty- seven years, Beth Stanley; three sons, Patrick S. Stanley, Steven Stanley, and Greg Stanley; and several grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundations in George’s honor.
A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Barrancas National Cemetery, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, Florida. Military honors will be provided by the United States Air Force.
