Mr. James Michael Newman, age 73, passed away October 23, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1952 in Norwich, New York to Edward J. Newman, Sr. and Genevieve R. Holcomb Newman.
Mr. Newman was a resident of Freeport, Florida He was Catholic by faith. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked as a Technician in the Telecommunications Industry for many years in New York. Having worked for Contel/GTE Citizens Telecom, retiring with over 25 years of service. He was a Volunteer Firefighter at Sherburne Fire Department in Sherburne, New York for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
Mr. Newman was preceded in death by his parents Edward J. Newman, Sr. and Genevieve R. Holcomb Newman and his brother, Edward Newman Jr.
Mr. Newman is survived by his children, Meagan J. Morris, Melissa M. Brown (Bart), Jeremy J. Newman (Atia), Joshua A. Newman, Sarah Newman; grandchildren, Madelyn Morris, Jacob Morris, Aiden Morris, Mari Olsson, Michael Morey, Genevieve Brown, Gavin Brown, Lucas Newman and Haley Newman and great grandchildren, Brayden and Bailey
Memorialization will be by cremation.
