Mrs. Joyce Annette Evans (née Williams) passed away November 10th, 2025, surrounded by her children after a brief illness.
Joyce was born April 5th, 1943, to Mallory and Gertrude Williams. A lifelong resident of DeFuniak Springs, Joyce married Arnold “Shorty” Evans on April 22nd, 1961. She worked for Continental Apparel until its closure while raising four children. Joyce enjoyed a variety of hobbies including quilting, baking, and listening to bluegrass music.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Shorty, her parents, her brothers Wallace Williams, Grover “Rayvon” Williams, and Billy Williams, in addition to a brother who passed as an infant.
Joyce is survived by her two sisters Sandra McHenry (Mercer) and Carol Thomas, her brother Larry Williams, her daughter Terri Rollie (Terry), her sons Gregory Evans, Dennis Evans (Patricia), and Kenneth Evans (Sheryl), five grandchildren (Brandy Williamson, Mallory Bevan (Bill), Erin Johnston (Chris), Kenneth Craig Evans, and Kelly Anne Collins (Josh), and nine great-grandchildren (Marissa, Madison, Destiny, Brantly, Brianne, Stephanie, Levi, Jaxten, and Colter).
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16th, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00pm, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home (230 Park Ave., DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435. Flowers are being accepted.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 17th, 2025 from 2:00 to 3:00pm, at Black Creek Cemetery (278 Memorial Ln, Freeport, FL 32439) with Pastor Steve Vagara officiating.
Following the graveside service, a wake will be held from 4:00 to 6:00pm, at Trinity Fellowship Bible Church (836 Baldwin Ave., DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435).
