PENSACOLA, Fla. — No. 5 Northwest Florida State women’s basketball picked up its eighth win of the season on Friday, defeating Eastern Florida 64–40 thanks to a strong defensive showing and efficient work inside the paint.

Ka’Zahria Johnson led the way with a season-high 13 points, while Khoudia Diagne added 11. Jadah White and Niylia Wilkins also reached double figures with 10 points apiece.

Defensively, the Raiders were locked in, forcing nine steals and committing just 10 turnovers— their lowest turnover mark of the season. Offensively, NWF shot 41.3% (26–63) from the floor, though struggled from beyond the arc at 21.7% (5–23).

With the win, the Raiders improve to 8–1 and will aim for their 9th victory on Saturday when they face St. Petersburg at noon.

Northwest Florida will then return home for a two-game set on Dec. 5–6 against Daytona State and Florida SouthWestern.
