Polly Joyce McCall, a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, at the age of 86. She was born on April 12, 1939, in Coffee County, Alabama, and was the beloved daughter of Marie and Tollie Wyrosdick.
Throughout her life, Polly found happiness in each place she called home, including DeFuniak Springs, Destin, and, most recently, Freeport. Fondly called “Ms. Polly” by many, she deeply treasured her time with family and friends, always bringing warmth and joy to every gathering.
Polly was a proud graduate of Charity Hospital School of Nursing, and she devoted many years to caring for others. Her career was distinguished by her compassion and commitment, culminating in her retirement from the Walton County Health Department. Polly also served as a Deacon at Freeport Presbyterian Church, where her contributions left a lasting impact and touched the lives of all who knew her.
Polly was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Burton McCall Jr.; her son, Jeff McCall; and her brother, Jearl Wyrosdick. She is survived by her daughter, Jill McCall; her son, Jearl McCall and his wife, Bryana; her grandchildren, Burton, Emily, Fred, and Lily; and her brother, Randy Wyrosdick and his wife, Sharron.
