Community is everything to the Sheriff’s Office — and Animal Control Officer Mark Fleming just raised the bar. Mark recently put together “go bags” for our DeFuniak Springs police officers filled with tools to make their jobs a little easier when encountering animals in the community.
The bags include leashes, microchip scanners, and treats — simple items that can make a big difference when trying to safely catch a loose pet. These thoughtful kits help officers respond with care and compassion, and they’re already making an impact.
We’re so grateful to have members like Mark who think outside the box and build bridges with community partners. It’s this kind of collaboration that keeps tails wagging and neighbors connected!
