Mr. Robert “Bob” Spence, age 89, went to meet his Heavenly Father May 1, 2025. He was born on April 11, 1936 in Walton County, Florida to Alton Spence and Laura Ina Infinger Spence.
Mr. Spence was a life long resident of the Red Bay Community in Red Bay, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon, Florida, where he served as a Deacon and Adult Sunday School Teacher for many years, having been rewarded for 60 years of Christian Service. He was very dedicated in Evangelism winning souls for Jesus Christ. He was a Veteran of the Armed forces serving his country in the United States Army. He was a devoted husband of 61 years, father, grandfather, great grandfather and Community Leader. He was an avid Bible reader and read his Bible every day. He loved telling people about God. He enjoyed watching Fox News and talking anything about Trump. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and spending time with friends playing pool. He also loved giving treats to his faithful beagle, Popcorn.
Mr. Spence was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 61 years, Frances Spence and siblings, Glen Spence, Insel Spence, Kathleen Hobbs and Carmelita Crews.
Mr. Spence is survived by his daughters, Cindy and husband Ronald, Teresa & Angie; six grandchildren Josh Lemon, Sarah Hunter and her husband Matt, Justin and his wife Nicole, Hayden, Leslie Lisenbee and her husband Kyle, and Haley Bell and her husband Brandon and great grandchildren, Kylee Jade Lisenbee, Micah Bell, Finley Bell, Dylan Dumas and Madison Dumas.
A time of visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church; 55 County Hwy 181-C, Ponce De Leon, FL 32455.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, with Reverends Mike McVay and Richard Murray, Sr officiating.
Flowers are being accepted.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Pittman, Kyle Lisenbee, Brandon Bell, Robby Ammons, Donald Hurley and Gene Lollie. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joel Byrd, Allen White, John Marvin Grice, George Carter, Doug Boseman, Lance Infinger, Lee Jones and Matt Infinger.
Burial will be held at the Red Bay Cemetery with Military Honors by the United States Army.
