Some people take on one challenge at a time. Lieutenant Michael Hernandez is not one of them.
Michael began his career in the fire service in 2014 as a firefighter-EMT in North Palm Beach, later joining Escambia County Fire Rescue in 2016. In 2021, he brought his skills and dedication to Walton County Fire Rescue, where he continues to grow not only as a firefighter but also as a leader.
While attending paramedic school, Michael was also promoted to lieutenant, proving that hard work pays off, but opportunities don’t always wait for perfect timing. Balancing leadership responsibilities, coursework, and emergency calls takes grit – and Lieutenant Hernandez has plenty of it.
Join us in congratulating Lieutenant Michael Hernandez on earning his paramedic certification and continuing to raise the standard for excellence at Walton County Fire Rescue.
