It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Allen David Bramlett, 67, of Gaskin, FL. Allen was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who passed away peacefully June 23rd. Born in Gadsden, Alabama, to Louie and Willie Mae Bramlett, Allen carried the warmth and spirit of his Southern roots throughout his life.
Allen was the devoted husband of nearly 50 years to Debra Bramlett, with whom he built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Their enduring partnership was a testament to their deep affection and commitment.
He was a loving father to his daughter, Jennifer Smith, and her husband R.J., and to his son, Benjamin Bramlett, and his wife Megan. Allen took immense pride in his family, finding great joy in watching his children grow and flourish. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren, Aniya, McKenna, Dacey, and David, who brought boundless light and happiness into his life.
Allen also leaves behind his dear brother, Henry Bramlett, his sister, Eleanor and her husband Jimmy Gilliland and his Sister-in-Law, Phyllis Bramlett. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry, in 2017 and Sister-in-Law Pat in 2007. He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews who will dearly miss his presence.
A long-time resident of Fort Walton Beach and more recently Gaskin, FL. Allen was a farmer from a young age spending his early years in rural Ashville, AL and he carried those farming ways throughout his life. He dedicated his life’s work to the building industry, working in the area since he was a teenager. For the last 10 years, Allen successfully ran his own business, Apex Drywall. He built lasting relationships throughout the Southeast while constructing a diverse range of projects, from bridges and gas stations to banks, commercial buildings, and multimillion-dollar houses. He was truly a “fixer” who could repair or build just about anything, a testament to his incredible skill and ingenuity. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
