We’re thrilled to introduce Calandra Vargas as the new executive director for Main Street DeFuniak Springs!
Calandra loves calling the stunning Emerald Coast home, and she makes the most of her time by visiting the beach, exploring the natural springs, and soaking up all the beauty our area has to offer. You can often find her riding horses or spending time with her four adopted dogs.
Calandra is an avid gardener, health enthusiast, and enjoys country and Latin dancing. She’s ready to bring her energy and love for community to Main Street DeFuniak Springs.
“Main Street is the place to be to enjoy life, shop local, and build community,” says Calandra. “DeFuniak Springs has a wonderful history, and I want everyone to be able to learn about it and enjoy time here.” One of her favorite events? The weekly farmers market, where neighbors gather and local vendors shine. “Supporting quality food and small farms is so important, everything just tastes better!”
Calandra sees DeFuniak Springs as more than just a special destination—it’s a place she calls home. “I hope more people get involved and help Main Street grow and thrive.” she shares.
