Mrs. Diane Janice Crane, age 76, passed away June 28, 2025. She was born on September 26,1948 in Skowhegan, Maine to James Sherwood Perkins and Helena Prescott Perkins.
Mrs. Crane was a resident of Mossy Head, Florida. She was Baptist by faith and a member of New Harmony Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She also taught Sunday School all over the world while traveling with her husband. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She also served as a military wife supporting her husband’s military career as he served for over 20 years in the United States Air Force. She enjoyed crafting. She was an avid reader. She was also a devoted servant of the Lord whom she dearly loved. She was a Girl Scout leader.
Mrs. Crane was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Kathleen Russell and Ramona Barrs and brothers, Bobby Perkins and two infant brothers.
Mrs. Crane is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Cary Crane; two children, Carissa West and husband Johnny and Travis Crane and wife Brenda; grandchildren, Emmily Crane, Kacie Adams and husband Britton, Andrew Crane and Madison West, and great grandchild, Jacob Crane. She is also survived by her brothers, Jimmy Perkins and his wife Cindee, and Dean Perkins and sisters, Barbara Perkins, Joanne Trefsgar, Jeanine Terry and her husband Steve and Gail Perkins
A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at New Harmony Baptist Church; 2281 County Highway 2A DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 3, 2025 at New Harmony Baptist Church; with Pastor Todd Camp officiating.
Flowers are being accepted.
Burial will be held at New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
