Notice of Public Meeting Regarding CR 1883 Improvements Phase 1

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 5, 2025, at the Office of Central Purchasing, 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435. Bidders may also attend via teleconference by dialing 850-635-0655 EXT. 261217.

The purpose of this meeting is to provide an overview of the project scope, review key components of the bidding documents, and allow potential bidders to ask questions prior to the submission deadline for ITB 25-16 – CR 1883 Improvements Phase 1.

Attendance is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged to ensure all interested parties are fully informed prior to bid submission.

This project consists of resurfacing approximately 4.92 miles of roadway from the intersection of SR 83 to CR 183B. Scope includes milling and resurfacing, signing and pavement marking upgrades, and minor drainage improvements. The project is partially funded through a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) grant and is subject to the terms of Grant Award Agreement No. G2M73.

In accordance with Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this meeting is asked to contact the Office of Central Purchasing at least 48 hours in advance so that arrangements can be made.

In accordance with Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, all persons are advised that, if a person decides to appeal any decision made by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
