Mr. Henry Padgett, 90, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on June 2, 2025.  He was born on November 15, 1934 in Walton County, Florida to Hurdis and  Cora Lee Wooten Padgett.

Mr. Padgett was a resident of  Walton County, Florida.  Henry lived a life of service, dedication, and love. He proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, he became the owner and operator of Padgett Farms and also worked for the State of Florida Department of Corrections.

To cherish his memory, Henry leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Betty Sue Padgett. He was preceded in death by his son, Todd Padgett, his parents, and his brother, Johnny Hugh Padgett.

Mr. Padgett  is survived by his sister-in-law Ann Padgett; brothers, Curtis Johnson and Franklin Burnett (Phyllis); sisters-in-law, Melissa Brown, Shirley Yawn (Lamar), and Helen Williams; brother-in-law Horace Burnett (Cynthia); 13 beloved nieces and nephews; and his dear friend, Keith Spence.

Henry’s legacy of hard work, service, and devotion to family will be remembered by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
