Mark your calendars! Walton County Emergency Management is hosting their 4th HERricane Florida | Landfall: Walton County girl’s summer camp, July 29 – August 1, 2025!

HERricane is a FREE week-long girl’s day camp, created to transition young women into community leaders, while demonstrating Emergency Management as a positive force for public safety and local government.

This camp is designed for young women entering 7th-9th grade for the 2025 school year, where skills such as disaster preparedness, leadership, networking tools, career exploration, professional development, and confidence building will be shared. Camp activities will include drone operations, land navigation, CPR certification, basic first aid, fire safety, a mock- EOC activation and much more!

The best part? Throughout the week, the girls will be mentored by female leaders from local, state, and national emergency response agencies, as well as private sector organizations.
