Walton County Fire Rescue is proud to announce the promotion of Chief Jonathon Davis to Assistant Chief of Support Services.
With 25 years of fire service experience, Chief Davis has been a driving force within our department since he joined in 2004. Over the years, he has served in a wide range of leadership roles, including Professional Firefighters of Walton County Local 4413 Union President, Company Officer, Battalion Chief, and Training Chief. Known for his steady leadership, mentorship, and unwavering dedication to his team, he has made a lasting impact here at Walton County Fire Rescue.
In addition to holding numerous certifications in both fire and EMS, Chief Davis has served as a SWAT medic with the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, Florida SWAT team since 2018. His commitment to strengthening our training programs and developing future leaders has helped elevate our department, and his influence will continue to shape its future in this new role.
As Assistant Chief of Support Services, he will now lead the Training and Logistics divisions, oversee EMS operations, the Fire Marshal division, and Walton Air Rescue, Florida. It’s a role that reflects not only his experience, but also the trust and respect he’s earned over decades of service.
