Martha Jean Lyons Hensley AKA Marti Hensley/Ma/ Granma Honey/Aunt Marti passed away in her sleep yesterday.
She will be greatly missed by her entire family, friends and special friends Cheryl & Dave Jones at Christ the King Catholic Church where she found great comfort in her Catholic faith.
She was a proud graduate of Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans and was a retired RN. She had lived in the Greater New Orleans area for many years as well as Virginia and Florida where she resided with her daughter Danni in Freeport, Florida.
She was born July 28, 1946 to Myles and Dolores Clinch Lyons in Dubois, Pennsylvania.
The fourth of 12 children she was preceded in death by siblings, Kathleen, Thomas, Dolores and Veronica, daughter Michelle (Dimitri) Adamopoulous and grandson Bobby Aaron Conlin.
She is survived by daughters, Marcy (Donnie) Conlin and Marla Danielle (Simon) Manyweathers, grandchildren Barry (Shelby), Cory (Kayleigh), Casey (Bryton) Conlin, Brittney (Jeff) Hodge, Drew Kress and Ariana Adamopoulous, great grandchildren, Alyssa Walker, Mason, Brody, Addison, Keenon, Bryaden, Braxton, Bryson, Delaney, Anniston, Bridger, Carver Conlin, Haley, Bentley, Eryn, Stinson Hodge, Bekkett Zuck, great great grandson Kolter Walker.
She survived with her siblings, Mary Cristine, Eleanor, Elizabeth, Roslyn, Colleen, Laura and Myles along with countless cousins, nieces and nephews.
We are sure she was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven by all those who had passed before her and they were joyously reunited.
