Michael R. Keith, 73, passed peacefully into heaven on June 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, selflessness, and complete devotion to the Lord. Mike lived each day to bring people to Christ and was known for his devotion to his family. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his wife Linda, who was his soul mate and best friend. The two of them completed each other in every way. Mike was a wonderful father and a father to the fatherless. There was never a need that he didn’t try to fulfill. His heart was to serve and to give. He truly emulated the love of the Father.
Mike was born and grew up in Clarksville, Indiana and was stationed in Germany during his time in the army. He went back to school and earned an Associate’s degree from Ivy Technical College while working two full time jobs. He started his career in nuclear power in 1983 and resided in multiple states before landing in Ohio at First Energy where he worked for 28 years as an Instrument and Control Technician.
Family meant the world to him. Michael is survived by his devoted wife Linda, who he cherished for almost 30 years; his children: Mike Keith Jr (Stephanie), Krista Keith, Kristy Holtz (Matthew), Brian Hemmer (Karen), Heather Baker (Robert); his grandchildren: William Keith (Chloe), Taylor Keith, Nora Keith, Mireya Holtz, Kyla Holtz, Christian Baker, and Kaleb Holtz; his great-grandchildren: Lilith Keith, Freya Keith, and Deymion Keith; his siblings: Nancy Buffin (Charles), Vanessa Keith, and Benita Sharp (Eddie), as well as nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Fannie Keith, his siblings Richard Keith, Arlene Meredith, and Timmy Keith, and two nephews, Steven Ortensie and Ritchie Keith.
Donations can be made in his honor to Animal House Sober Club at their website: https://animalhousesoberclub.com/donate/. Overcoming addiction was close to Mike’s heart and this organization supports those in that journey in his local community.
A celebration of life will be held in Ohio and in Florida. Details for both celebrations will follow at a later da
