Mrs. Myria Lee Daughtery, age 90, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 in Deatsville, Alabama she was born September 10, 1934 in Dollar, Alabama, Coosa County, Alabama to Jones and Rilla Logan Varner.

Mrs.  Daughtery was a resident of Deatsville, Alabama, moving from DeFuniak Springs, Florida.  She was Baptist by faith and a member of The First Baptist Church of Liberty since 1975. She worked in the textile industry for many years, she owned and operated local rentals properties in DeFuniak Springs for years. She loved working daily in her beautiful flower beds and yard, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved dancing and singing in her younger years. Myria also loved the Lord with all of her heart and taught Sunday School for many years.

Mrs.  Daughtery was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Timothy Daughtery and Jeffrey Lynn Daughtery; four brothers, Clarence Varner, Raymond Varner, Morris Varner and Cecil Varner; four sisters, Velma Mullins, Jessie Mae McCord, Clara Nell Gibson and Betty Culpepper.

Mrs. Daughtery is survived by her daughter, Flora Merle Prater of Deatsville, Alabama; grandchildren; Kimberley Hicks (David) of Deatsville, Alabama, Tony Prater (Emilee) of Kathleen, Georgia, Shawna Shisler (Kenneth) of Crestview, Florida, Gordon Ross Daughtery of Fort Worth, Texas, Kayla McClelland (Randall) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida and Jessica Lewis (Codi) of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; twelve great grandchildren and one great – great grandchild; and also survived by special friend, Glen Grondine, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. The family would like to add a special thanks to Enhabit Hospice for all of their loving care and concern.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, June 2, 2025 at Cluster Springs Baptist Church Cemetery; 1333 County Highway 1084 Defuniak Springs, FL 32433; with Brother David Hicks officiating.

Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the Gideon International at PO Box 140800, Nashville, Tennessee 37214.

Pallbearers will be Codi Lewis, Tony Prater, Earl Robinson, Randall McClelland, Brayden Shisler, Preston Prater, Kenneth Shisler, and Logan Hicks

Burial will be held at Cluster Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
