The Northwest Florida State College Board of Trustees has elected Rhea Goff to serve as chair, effective July 1, 2025. She was unanimously selected during the June 17 board meeting.

Trustee Goff will replace Lori Kelley, who has served as board chair since 2021. Mrs. Kelley will continue to serve on the Board of Trustees.

“I am honored to serve as chair of the NWFSC Board of Trustees and am excited to help lead the college as we build for the future,” said Chair-elect Goff. “While our focus should always be on providing a quality and affordable education for our students, Northwest Florida State College is also a key component for sustained economic growth in Okaloosa and Walton counties. Those are responsibilities that we fully embrace as trustees for the college.”

Mrs. Goff serves as senior vice president and chief administrative officer at The St. Joe Company.

The Board of Trustees unanimously elected Dr. Jon Ward to serve as vice chair. His new role takes effect July 1.

The Trustees also welcomed a new member to the Board. Lyndsi Stevens was recently appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis. Trustee Stevens is the chief marketing officer for Celerium Inc.

Governor DeSantis also reappointed current trustees Cory Fosdyck and Tanner Peacock for new terms.

All appointees require confirmation by the Florida Senate.

The Board of Trustees serves as the governing board for Northwest Florida State College, as well as NWFSC’s Collegiate High School.
