MONDAY, JUNE 9
Heads up, WaltonCounty — Mother Nature has some not-so-sunny plans for us this afternoon. Portions of our area are under a SLIGHT risk (2 of 5) for severe weather, which means we could see:

* Damaging winds
* Large hail
* Heavy rainfall
* Flash flooding (especially in low-lying areas and poor drainage spots)
* Red and Purple flags are flying at #SouthWalton beaches.
Consider skipping the beach today and explore the many shops and restaurants our County has to offer!
If you’re on the roads:
* Turn headlights on and slow down — hydroplaning is no joke.
* Never drive through flooded roads. Turn around, don’t drown!

At home:
* Bring in or secure outdoor furniture and decorations.
* Charge your devices now in case of power outages.
