Rex spent his formative years in Elmira, New York with his family. After high school he joined the Air Force where he served for twenty one years. He spent the last 7 years of his military life at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. He then retired to the DeFuniak Springs, Florida area in New Harmony with his family where he devoted his service to neighbors, community, local churches and Christian schools. He loved helping others and with the help of his wife Patricia helped educate two of his granddaughters and countless other students. He led a life of sacrifice to further the kingdom of God.
Although his life here has ended, we know he now has perfect health, unending peace and is in the presence of his Lord and Savior. We are also thankful, that now he can spend time with his son whom he lost early in life. We are confident that he will hear the words written in Matthew 25:21 “Well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
