On June 27th, following a lengthy investigation, the DeFuniak Springs Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence within the city. During the search, officers seized approximately 96 grams of methamphetamine.
The homeowner, 54-year-old David Lewis, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lewis was given a bond of $50,000.
“I made a commitment to keeping drugs off the streets of DeFuniak Springs, and I stand by that,” said Chief James Hurley. “I’m proud of the hard work and dedication shown by my team in helping us move closer to that goal.”
