The 2025 Southeastern Conference Spring Meetings, a gathering of the SEC’s Presidents and Chancellors, Athletics Directors, Senior Woman Administrators, Faculty Athletic Representatives, Head Football Coaches and Head Men’s and Women’s Basketball Coaches, began Tuesday at the Hilton SanDestin Beach Resort.
At the conclusion of Tuesday’s meetings, SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey addressed a variety of topics with the media:
*Four student-athletes are in attendance at Spring Meetings this week: Alabama’s Barry Evans (Men’s Track & Field) and Houston Mallette (Men’s Basketball), Georgia’s Nyah Leveretter (Women’s Basketball) and South Carolina’s Oscar Adaway (Football). They will participate in meetings throughout the week to share their perspective and offer input on issues that impact their college experience.
*In the Athletics Directors meeting, the group discussed the College Football Playoff and looked at different models and information. The group also discussed future scheduling and heard presentations from LBi and Deloitte in preparation for implementation of House settlement. Each of the coaches groups meeting this week will hear from LBi and Deloitte for similar demonstrations.
*Each of the coaches groups this week are hearing reports from ESPN and the SEC Network as well as briefings on the legislative proposals being considered.
