Stephen “Steve” Warren Alford, age 73, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, at his residence. He was born May 24, 1952, to AZ and Cathon (Kathryn) Mills Alford. Steve was born and raised in Niceville, Florida.

He spent most all his time growing up hunting and fishing on the Choctawhatchee River with his daddy, many cousins and friends.  He knew that river like the back of his hand. Steve taught his children, grandkids, and even his wife how to enjoy everything he did. He loved telling his stories about all of his days out there doing exactly what he loved, funny stories of old times, old memories, and lots of jokes. He loved his family, and he loved his life. He is now fishing in that big river in Heaven with all the family that left before him.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, AZ and Cathon (Kathryn) Alford.

He is survived by his loving wife, Connie Alford; three children, Steven Alford (Jody), Rhonda Hutchins (Jason), and Christina Simmons (William); two stepsons, Justin and Jeremy Butts; one brother, Darren Alford (Kim); one sister, Doris Faye Bryson (Sammy); his beloved grandchildren, Starla Minter (Corbin), Hunter Wadsworth, Tyler Alford, Randall Hutchins, Jimmy Alford, Cheyanne Hutchins, Camden, Julien, and Skylin Butts; and one great grandchild, Hazel. He was loved by so many, including his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robert and Donna Glass; along with many dearly loved cousins and their families.
