Please join us in congratulating Kirk McKee, Jason Hall, and Forest Davis on their promotion to Engineer, a brand-new position within Walton County Fire Rescue and a major milestone for our department.
The title of Engineer carries a long-standing tradition in the fire service. Historically, the Engineer (sometimes called Driver/Operator) is a cornerstone of fireground operations, responsible for the safe and effective operation of apparatus and ensuring water is flowing where and when it’s needed most. It’s a role that demands precision, experience, and trust.
This isn’t just a promotion, it’s the result of years of thoughtful planning and progress. Over the last several years, WCFR has worked intentionally to build a solid command structure that opens the door for advancement, strengthens our operational readiness, and gives our personnel the opportunity to grow and thrive within our agency. The addition of the Engineer role is a key step in that continued development.
Jason, Forest, and Kirk have already shown outstanding leadership and dedication on and off the truck, and we’re proud to see them take on this new role.
Congratulations, Engineers! You’re making WCFR history!
