Mr. Willie Ray Curry, age 81, passed away May 10, 2025.  He was born on June 10, 1943 in Westville, Florida to Mance Curry and Ozzie Thomas Curry.

Mr. Curry was a lifelong resident of Walton County, Florida. He was Baptist by faith and a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces having served his country in the United States Army.  He worked as a long-distance Truck Driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing. He also liked talking with his friends and telling stories.

Mr. Curry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 52 years, Laura Lou Curry; one son, Jimmie Curry and one brother, Jim Curry.

Mr. Curry is survived by his son Michael Ray Curry, wife Dennie of Paxton, Florida, daughter Denise Gjesdal, husband Ben of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; grandchildren Ashley Curry, April Curry, Auntanna Curry, Christopher Curry, Dallas McLendon Curry, Ivy Gjesdal, Kayley Gjesdal; great grandchildren Presley, McKinley, Lylla, Brooklyn, Carter Nelson, Ellie Mae Nelson, Sharon McLendon and Raelyn Palmore; sisters, Louise Seay and Oddie Carroll and numerous step grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Lake Stanley Park; 443 Shoemaker Drive, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32433 with Reverend Larry Watts officiating with military honors by the United States Army.
